COMMITTEES

Since citizens are the heart of La P’tite Maison, 4 member committees have been set up: the “program”, “social”, “thrift store” and “Christmas” committees. The Board of Directors gives the main orientations, while the committees are spaces dedicated to decision-making in connection with daily life.

PROGRAM COMMITTEE

All members of La P’tite Maison are invited to this meeting, which takes place 4 times a year, in order to give their opinion on the activities and make decisions concerning the planning of future activities. For these members, this is the perfect opportunity to evaluate the activities of the previous program and to suggest ways to improve them.

THRIFT STORE COMMITTEE

The meetings of the Thrift Store Committee are held on a monthly basis. The topics covered are related to the management of the thrift store. For example, our members deal with recruiting volunteers, rotating clothing, solutions to certain problems, scheduling, using profits, promoting thrift stores, and more.

SOCIAL COMMITTEE

The Social Committee aims to be a place of exchange and collective power that promotes the ownership of the members of the daily life of La P’tite Maison . These meetings are always the place to discuss the code of conduct, the reception and integration of new members, the allocation of funds for daily activities and the maintenance of the place.

CHRISTMAS COMMITTEE

The Christmas Committee of La P’tite Maison takes part of the organization of a Christmas party for the families of Saint-Pierre. The members are involved in all decisions about the party and the planning for the event takes place from September to December. Generous donors allow us to offer gifts to children, distributed by Santa Claus.
